THE STORY

I started this brand at 16, back in 2018, and I remember not having a clue what to do. I was winging it. I thought, "How am I going to make this work?" But I just knew I wanted an outlet for my creativity and ideas, and wanted to build something that I could say was mine. For months, with the help of some school friends, I started sketching any designs that came to me. It got to 2019, and I spent almost 12 months researching this industry and brainstorming what I wanted Sech to be.

In May 2019, I released my first-ever t-shirt - a simple white blank with a two-tone blue logo that I sold for £10. I sold nearly all 50 of them I initially bought, mainly from friends, and it was a surreal feeling. Even though I could've designed something much better, I learned so much from just putting something out there and seeing what happened. I did the first photo shoot on top of a local multi-story car park with some school friends, and we had the best time.

Fast forward to today, we now have over 5000 followers on Instagram, over 1000+ orders and customers worldwide, loads of new designs and products, a couple of viral TikToks, a feature on the Fellas Podcast, and even a billboard in Times Square!

It's been a crazy journey from when I was 16 and never would have thought it would get to this point. Ultimately, though, this has been and will always be a fun, creative outlet for me, and having sales is a bonus. If you can take anything from reading this or my story, it would be just to start whatever you want to do; you can't be perfect from day 1!
