THE STORY

I started this brand at 16, back in 2018, with no clue what I was doing or how I was going to make this work. But I just knew I wanted an outlet for my creativity and ideas, and wanted to build something that I could say was mine. For months, with the help of some school friends, started sketching any designs that came to us. It got to 2019 and I had spent almost 12 months researching about this industry and brainstorming what I wanted Sech to be.

Fast forward to May 2019, I released my first ever t-shirt - a simple white blank with a two-tone blue logo that I sold for £10. Was it a great design? No haha. It was basic, but I sold nearly all 50 of them I initially bought, mainly from friends, and it was a surreal feeling. Even though I could've designed something much better, I learned so much from just putting something out there and seeing what happened. I did my first photo shoot on top of a multi-story car park, and it was just a laugh.

I didn't release anything until the following year, during lockdown, in May 2020. It was a collection and the first time I stocked hoodies. It was a new logo, with 5 colourways, and was a step in the right direction for the brand. I spent 3 full days making the clothing in my living room, packaging it, and getting it ready to hand deliver in my local area. 

The more new designs I released, and more experimenting with content and marketing, the brand foundations were being built and I felt more and more confident.
